in the hunt sega saturn pt 1

ok here is in the hunt for the sega saturn now i do know that this game was made by the same people who made the metal slug series but they left irem. the arcade version of this game was made by irem. and if you played the arcade version on mame then you know this game is a instant classic arcade shooter!! i love this game i am glad to have picked it up complete for the sega saturn for a $12.99 price tag and free shipping i was actually looking for it for the playstation but could not find it complete. in fact for my 2 and a half week search for this game i only found 7 copies total spanning all the systems it was released on and 99% were not complete and most were disc only and each person had stated "scratches on disc" so when i see that i do not buy it not to mention the game was going for $30.00 and up so i thought it was way too much then one day i got back on the bay in my quest to obtain this classic game and someone had it "buy it now $12.99" for the saturn so i decided to buy it this is the first time i played it as you can see i just got it in the mail if you watch my "new games for my collection" vid now this game has slow down and a lot of it but really the game is slow anyway but damn! i think hmmm maybe if i had the ps1 version of this game it would be a better port but anyway what do i think about this game??? i love it its like contra of the deep! lol seriously thats the level this game is on i would say if you dont have this game for ps1 sega saturn or pc get it if you can find it if not get mame and play the arcade rom!!! now i would rather play the arcade rom on my mame machine but right now it is collecting dust in my storage unit.
the sad thing about this game is it doesnt get enough praise and even for retro gamers it is clearly a secret well kept hidden from the mainstream and alot of retro gamers so hopefully this will bring some new players to this great classic game!.

If the developers responsible for the Saturn conversion of In the Hunt put more effort into the actual game, instead of that stupid CGI movie, they would have had a great game. The game is PLAGUED with slowdown to the point of being unplayable. Reminds me of the "slowdown" buttons on NES joysticks. Classic arcade game, excellent graphics, lousy programming. A poor conversion overall. I'll say, Sega Saturn really separated the good programmers from the bad ones. Thx 4 the video!

@gamesDAMNED Overlooking the slowdown it's a fun game. Better on the ps1 but is still fun to play on the Saturn.

@darthbluntedone Agreed. This is the sort of thing that makes me wish Sega would bring back the Dreamcast, sell it for $50, and release classic arcade games like In the Hunt. There are still plenty of people who would pay for real video games. I'd be there on day one.

the torpedo sound effects sound a lot better on the saturn version in comparison to the arcade and PSX versions.
