You can get realistic slow motion w/ the DVX-100A if you shoot at 60i and then edit the time mapping of the file using the pixel motion frame blending in after effects.

  • On this instance I had no artifacting. It looks really choppy on YouTube, but the actual file looks fine. I forget if this is exported at 29.97 or 24P. 60i def helps slow it down.

  • This is a really cool. I like your resourcefulness! So all you have to do is record in 60i and use time remapping with frame blending on? Usually some strange distortion and artifacts occur when I do mine. Does the 60i help that? I should try that! Thanks for the vid!
