Viewers and readers will feel sorry for Piggy, and be mad at those who attack or berate him. Yet we all know a Piggy in real life - someone who is teased or mistreated for being weaker, fatter, looking or acting differently, obeying the rules, or just being "uncool". In real life, would you actually defend this person? That's worth thinking about. This is what makes the book so interesting - it's a mirror of ourselves and how we behave in different groups in society.

Holy crap..... I read the book and it is tough piggy died. It is the survival of the fittest. How was it in the 10th century>?  So you see naked boys, big deal... go to a nude resort and you can see all you want. they have nothing down there like your baby finger. grow up and accept that movie for what it was.., society without rules
