The legendary 1970s Japanese band Vodka Collins doing a sound check before ther show at club Toga Toga in Kyoto, October 1996. On one of their 1990s reunion tours of Japan.
The song they're running through is "Is this Chuck Berry?" from their album Pink Soup.
The song is said to be inspired by a VHS tape sold by New York Manahattan cable network "Midnight Blue" TV host Al Goldstein. The video was also titled "Is This Chuck Berry?"
Filmed by their head roadie Jun Kaneko on his video camera.

  • I notice that on the CD "Pink Soup" version of this song has backing vocals on the choruses (Hey Chuck Berry!) and live here there are none. Also that looks like the Peter Frampton type three pick up black Les Paul guitar the singer is using. It's a beautiful sounding guitar.
