Footage taken of Hastings Cottage nursing home on 10th October 2009, a few days after flames had ripped through the premises.
The historic care home dates from the mid 19th century and was used to treat stammerers, most notably Lewis Carroll - real name Charles Dodgson - author of Alice in Wonderland, and Charles Kingsley, who wrote Westward Ho! and The Water Babies.
Footage was captured using the Flip Mino HD (4GB)
Sorry for the wonky shots. I had to poke my camera through the temporary metal gates, so it was difficult to move it smoothly. The gates were also the same reason as to why I couldn't get any closer to the building itself.
