Explaining Malloy some of the differences between the "2 war parties".

this is 1st part of an anarchist cookbook in how to get banned on liberal talk radio and have fun while doing it.

BTW, for those few out there who can't read Romanian. The writing on the wall in the last frame says "Vrem Democratie!" which can be translated as "Democracy Now!"

According to Malloy the 2 parties are "pretty much the same" and as such it's hard for anyone as astute and sophisticated as he is to just be a good soldier and support the democrats through his program in the name of solidarity, 8 weeks before election day.

So he decided to tear down the candidate and the party. At least that's what I got from listening to his program the last couple of weeks. There is no mention of grassroots organizing or giving Obama a progressive Congress. That "building a New Deal Coalition" idea never crosses his maverick mind. Not only that, if you even mention these practical issues you get dropped by Malloy or his screener like a hot potato.

It seems to me that along with Nader and a few pseudo progressives, Malloy couldn't give a damn about the idea of changing people's lives through government, which is how we define "progressivism" since La Follette, because other than bashing Obama's strategic decision to move to the right, Malloy has no practical ideas of how one could get into elected office in this country today and effect real change without the votes of the current US electorate.

  • You need to change the battery out of your smoke detector...

  • @Awesomenessincarnate I am not sure what you mean, can u elaborate?!

  • "Obama has to be careful"

right, he has to be careful to continue Bush's mid east policy

  • @FishlegsJones: No, Obama is trying to clean up Bush's mess.

  • "He is ending the war, I don't think he is allowed to end the occupation "

hey Dummy: He is NOT ending the wars, and as President he is "allowed" to pursue any Foreign Policy he likes until he gets Impeached.

  • Long story short: the US is not a democracy as you imagine but a plutocracy and the way it works is tied to imperial policies that go all the way back to WW2 and more recently 1971. To sustain that the US needs to control the pricing of crucial commodities in US$. A stable middle east is crucial to that because of petro dollars. Bush destabilized the middle east: Obama has to be careful. Soros, Stiglitz etc have ideas how to extricate ourselves from this finan system but not simple overnight

  • @madashelldude I mean, I can hear your smoke detector chirping in the background while you talk. It goes off almost every 30 seconds when the battery is dead. That's all. youtube.com/watch?v=YidDdvHl5aA

  • @FishlegsJones

Exactly. The only people who should be pissed at Obama are liberals. But of course conservatives just swallow whatever their pig talk show hosts tell them, so I'm not surprised they think he's different than Bush.

  • I'll try once more. Beside the video link I provided bellow which shows you a recent interview with Stiglitz on the world reserve currency and if you read the comments I explain how that's connected to military bases there is a book you can read by Michael Hudson (Kucinich's econ adv): "Super Imperialism" which explains how the current financial system works since 1971 ie. floating xchange rates etc. Now Obama is making small tweaks to this but if he blows it up we'll end up in bread lines.

  • He is ending the war, I don't think he is allowed to end the occupation just like I doubt he will withdraw the troops from Japan or Germany. That's why I said that basing rights around the world are connected to the global financial system. If you want to change that you need an armed insurrection or something, I doubt that will happen via elections. No one in their right mind thought that Obama will change the world economy overnight more than Clinton tried, why, Clinton got no credit 4 that
