If you are serious about producing superior results with Paint Shop then you need to know how to use the layer blend modes. They really are dead simple and will produce excellent results with one little change. After watching the video you will be saying "OMG - that is so easy and so cool" - no doubt about it! www.the-graphics-tablet.com

  • @frictiondrivebikes If you like the results of using that brush then that is fine. The advantages of layers are many - you can throw away errors, change the opacity remove small mistakes and change blend modes just to name a few.

My opinion is that using layers is superior to working on the Background.

It is entirely up to you ...

  • I can colorize an image by just choosing the change to target brush (the one under the paint brush). What is the advantage of all this layer stuff over just using that brush?

  • Once you understand them they are easy, right?

    Thanks for the comments ...!
