Thanks, yeah its def not stock, i agree so many tools just believe that exhaust and front mount makes a rex go hard - it dont. Ive lost count of the amount of rexes ive ripped with more mods becuase they are not tuned right. Heres the mods on the rex in this vid r as follows.

Catless stock exhaust leading into stock (gutted) rear muffler

Ported headers / Throttle body

modified stock air box

ported intercooler (still running stock top mount tho)

silicone y piece

FalconXr6Turbo: I find your comments laugable and without reason. I dont know which model WRX you are talking about but it certainly isnt a MY00 Wrx as featured in this video becuase the idear that AWD start is worth 1 1/2 seconds is rubbish. I go back to my point earlier which you are yet it answer - If the WRX would be so slow without AWD how is it that a 200sx (which has a WORSE power to weight ratio) runs a 14.4 1/4 mile and 6.3 0-100????? You expect me to believe a wrx would be over 7? LOL!

Well first of all the R34 is 14.2 and the MY00 to my little knowledge on WRX's are something like 14.4 and the MY03 are 14.0. And ofcourse i have run against alot of WRX with more mods than i would of have that are under MY02 and have owned all with RB25... :)

You said it "your little knowledge of WRX's" An my00 has NEVER run slower than 14.1 with an av of 14.0. The 14.4 you refer to was for the my01 which is the slowest rex to date. Oh yeah and i was slightly wrong on the skyline figures, its actually 6.4 to 100.

Both Wheels AND Motor magazines have tested the WRX using a normal take off (as you would in say, a Skyline, XR6T, etc)and have ran mid 7's for the 0-100m and low 15's for the 0-400m. As adzr34 implies, unless you launch them using high revs, are willing to dump the clutch and have NO mechanical sympathy, then they simply are not that fast. I've been in a WRX and asked the driver to take off from standstill without revving the ringer out of it and it was very disappointing!

rexes are fast out of the factory but after a few mods it ends there, u can make a line (yes even a non gtr) much faster than you could do to a rex... so it depends if you like modding... each to their own i guess. at the end of the day deepest pocket wins

@FalconXR6Turbo Are you fucked in the head, have you ever even driven a WRX its a total different world then most people think when driving a WRX. The Wrx is an underestimated car when it comes to pefromance so what if its a 2liter or 2.5 flat 4 turboed.

It will leave your XR6 Turbo behind for miles if they were both stuck, cant say if they were modded but even a wrx modifed can do a lot of damage.

I own an 04 and 06 wrx and its a different world when i can beat R33 GTR's compared to a XR6T

34 = easier to get power out of, rwd fun

My r34 does 175rwkw. Easily 6 sec or even high 5sec 0-100. Doing more mods next month.

The times I quoted were tested. Plain and simple.

Hard fact; a WRX will not run a respectable 0-100 and 0-400 time unless you are willing to absolutely abuse them and don't mind risking a clutch or (at worst) a gearbox. If you like this method of attack then it wont bother you. Me? I prefer a grunty rear driver that's a cinch to drive hard and will have ten times more driveability than any WRX.

Mine runs 13's. Was my first trip to the drags ever and i was only launching from 3k. Only mods are exhaust, ported airbox and bigger TMIC. So you don't need to redline launch to get low times as has been suggested.

i reckon, that wrx must b pretty modded, rexes can go hard, but too many r modded wrong, im not a wrx man myself but im into anything that anyone is passionate about modding, nice car! well done! keep it up lol
