Hinduism, the Caste System Misunderstood

To ensure, that, at no point of time should caste of a person be mistaken, as by birth ...the authors of the scriptures, Ramayana, Mahabharatha, Bagavad Geetha were characterized as SHUDRAS! I think that should be sufficient logical proof as to ...CAST IS NOT BY BIRTH
Yes it is a problem in the so called Hindu society today; IT IS A SOCIAL EVIL ... but, has nothing to do with its scriptures

@gre8nation,..... well then according to U , i am a shudra (by birth ), but bramin by Karma married to a Vaisaya ,(businessman ) by karma and i am no one to decide who my daughter marries. She will marry according to wt suits her karma. It would certainly make me unhappy if she married a bramin by birth, but a shudra by karma , because it would be a mismatch.

, @singhjess .. Manu smrithi is a comment BY MANU....and it has nothing to do with Vedic scriptures read the Bavathgeetha ( AGAIN IS ONE OF THE MANY SCRIPTURES) which the so called Hindus consider an authority in Vedic learning.

There's no need of cast system now. Why you dig up this ancient dirt? The word 'Shudra' literally means 'Insignificant'. Don't glorify it for any reason. Ancient people made up vedas & so called scriptures, what's the need to follow it? Throw it away. We have logic & science now. Use your brains.

To solve this problem there have to be surnames which clearly don't say which caste they belong to. So surnames should be only for title not for caste.

@brainlaundry, Your surname itself tells that what caste you belong to whether you do good karma or bad karma and it is permanent for life. If caste is based on work of individuals then why don't you change your surname when your work changes. You should be only able take surname of brahmin when you are highly educated or else you should change your surname which is for other caste. Just by telling the Caste System Misunderstood won't solve the problem.

Bodhidharma tought the Chinese medicine and Kong Fu coz he did not like to share with Indian as indians are highly obsess with caste.If indian learnt kongfu, kongfu would have been used beat up lower rank caste.If they have learnt medicine,there would have been another additional caste called "medicine caste". From a physical anthropological viewpoint, it has been observed that different Y-hapologroups and Mitochondrial DNA types are found in different castes. How does one logically explain that?

Because they have no other way to criticize Hinduism. Every Anti Hindu or person who is unaware, when questioning caste system in Hinduism, almost ALWAYS refer to Laws of Manu (as it Laws of Manu is a Hindus bible lol). They don't even realize that Laws of Manu was created between 200BC-200AD, literally over a thousand years since the Vedas. Further, it is NOT a Hindu scripture.
