no at all the instalations the forerunners were expirementing on the flood to find out how to kill it

i am lost at the whole "the flood is destroyed" thing, the halo rings work as both a weapon and a transit, and if master cheif and cortana survived, that means that the flood threat wasn't destroyed, it was just moved, that is just about the weirdest part of the entire halo story
