@Svartalfgeist It is a genuine blend of different sub-genres and cultures.
You don't see such movies too often!

@jeevanirajiv What do you mean?
-
And let me expand my vocabulary to include tarantino's work as shite also. cheers.
-
@etherella I'm glad you agree with me. Most educated people would.
-
@jeevanirajiv I don't believe I said otherwise.I was merely referring to your rampage at Miike - whose films I don't generally like either, as it happens - as ironic being that you told him to be original when Fistful itself is not original. That has nothing to do with whether Yojimbo itself is original or not. I suggest you review 'irony' along with your film facts, and widen your vocabulary to eradicate the need for base expletive.

@etherella Ah yes, using the word irony without having actually figured out when to use it! Educated folks would also know that yojimbo borrowed liberally (albeit unoficially) from Hollywood westerns. (perhaps kurosawa should be sued also). Every movie/book theme has been "borrowed" or re-worked at some time or another. Educated people would again know this. Heck even idiots would know that. As for Miike. HE IS SHITE. NOT A SINGLE ORIGINAL IDEA IN THE MANS HEAD.

weird man

@jeevanirajiv The irony of seeing "spaghetti Western" and "original" in the same phrase. Educated people know that the original Spaghetti Western (Fistful of Dollars) was based on the Japanese film Yojimbo, also spoofed by Miike in this film. They know that Leone and team were sued and had to settle with Kurosawa over royalties because of alleged plagiarism from Yojimbo when making Fistful of Dollars. Miike is clearly playing off both films, genres and cultural aspects - check your facts.

this is soooo good. i just wanna touch my self when i watch this. like wow my willy is already hard.
@oakr8r The reason he's in it is because he is friend's with Takeshi Miike.

Idk I thought it was cool for him to make a small cameo appearance, but if you think about it his part in the movie was minimal so it's enough to make hardcore fanboys shoot their load but not enough to really affect the plot itself. He doesn't really make or break the movie one way or another, but he does bring in a small audience to gain the makers some more cash flow. Doesn't sound like that much of a detriment to me.
