CESSNA 421 TWIN ENGINE ELECTRIC CONVERSION PART 2.

Ever Have one of those days where no matter what you do, you just aren't on your game? Things just keep going wrong. Well, this weekend, the weekend of September 19/20 2009, I had 2 days of that! If it could go wrong, it did! But when it comes to flying my planes, I guess I just don't learn my lesson and keep on going! LOL.

So in Part 1, I buckled the gear on Landing! Got that fixed up nice and pretty! I'm ready for another go round.

Mind you, I've already been having all sorts of Weekend Blues! But, Im a glutten for punishment!

So, here goes, get some pretty pre-flight video, line up, go for a nice long run out, and BAM, blade strikes the ground, looks like it ramed the motor into the cowl freezing up the motor, so the other motor had full power to play with! it pulled the plane up and over into a Great Somer-Sault! I'd give it a 9 for form!

ENJOY

I post this video and Part 1 to share with my friends and others because deep down inside, I know we all like to see a good crash once in awhile. So here I go, I feed us all!

Thanks for watching!

  • Lamentable y espero que se pueda reparar hasta lurgo y mucha suerte

  • @dasa1965 : It was pretty bad. It's still on my work bench to be rebuilt. But I should have it rebuilt here soon. Thanks for commenting!

  • let me finish the phrase. SSSSSSSSSSSSOOOOOOOONNNNNNN OOOOFFFFF AAAA BBBIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIITTTTTTTTCCCCCCCCHHHHHHHH!!!!! lol

  • @CaliMtrSpC16 : LOL! You got it! LOL! Thanks for watching and commenting!

  • Did you determine what caused the crash? Did you get it repaired? Do tell.

  • @LionkingRC : The Left blades hit the dirt from a bounce just before take off. Watch the slow motion and you'll see the dirt splay. I was at full throttle at this point, and I could see the left blades stop, and before it could get going again, a split second later, The right side pulled up and over. Believe you me, I have this beauty totally balanced out and both motors in near perfect tune. It was just one of those days where if something could go wrong, it did. Thanks for the comment!

  • looked to me like the right flap was lower than the left one. either way.....the prop bit the dust.....which is not good on a twin.

  • epic "wooooooohhhh ssssssso-"

  • @heberorozco : You mean you hear TAPS.... It could be a loose magnet in the brushless motor. Or, many times I can hear the wood make a crack sound from where the motor mounts. It's usually settling of the wood under the pressure of the prop. I would double check all bolts for tight, and apply another layer of glue around all motor mount joints of the motor cage. You could always video the motor and sound, post it, and I will take a listen for you.

  • @RCRedBaron i dont get you, however, i hear little tabs at the rate of about 1 tab per 4 sec, the motor or prop is touching nothing, i was wondering if its a bad connection between esc and motor?
