The lack of conflict and tension between 2 completely separate worlds. Right across the street from a camp in Petion-Ville center where thousands of homeless Haitians are living is a beautiful hotel filled with international guests. Yet there's no gate, there's no machine gun security, rather, there's a sense of calm.

  • Dont make any illusions, when they get a chance the hotel will be robbed to the ground. Just goes to show how stupid it is to have those utopian views of the world.

  • Well I grew up in Petionville Haiti and my family is well off compared to the rest of the majority. were I am getting at is just like any were else in the world there are diffrent social classes, being poor does not make you Haitian. there is nothing wrong with setting the standards.

  • Nice to see that the people are calm and are being civil.
