the guy at the guitar store showed me that some guitarists like to hold up their guitars on their thigh, and i see Farner doing that when he isn't moving around on stage.

Mark's guitar is incredibly light, and he does use a strap. He also uses more pedals than I've ever seen on one stage before He surely doesn't stand still for very long, lol, and H-Bomb (drums) and Lawrence (bass) are every bit as good as Don and Mel
