After Greer Garson's sudden success with "Goodbye, Mr. Chips" in 1939, MGM rushed her into a little bit of silliness called "Remember?"

But it does contain a lot of funny bits with Lew Ayres, Billie Burke, and Reginald Owen.

With her next movie, "Pride and Prejudice," Greer became a true star.

  • "just about the nicest thing I ever saw..." Thing?

  • robert your sexy man, loves rub and suck you

  • greer garson really had an approachable physical beauty about her. she was so pretty, but not so glamorous that you couldn't imagine yourself having a glass of wine with her. that's why lew ayres is so good. if he stood a chance with her, any of us stood a chance with her.

  • Interesting tidbit re: this - Taylor was scheduled to do a movie called "Cause for Alarm." It was a politically-driven story foreshadowing upcoming world turmoil only a few yrs away. The film was never made. It was contentious, seems that Taylor wanted it but others did not. Somewhere between acquisition & production, Taylor was instead signed to do "Remember" w/Greer Garson--a lighthearted & fun but certainly not message-laden movie.

  • Me too!

  • TCM broadcast this film from time to time. Not scheduled anytime soon, but you can go to their site and request it.

This film is light comedy but, enjoyable with such likeable and beautiful actors. I don't have any problems going from this movie to Mrs. Miniver or any heavy drama starring Mrs. Garson.

She is a joy to watch, always!

  • where could you get the whole movie?

  • Love it . . . I've ALWAYS wanted to hear Robert Taylor say, "Hi Linda."
