Reedsburg Play of the Game

(10.27.09)—For the second year in a row, the Wisconsin Dells Chiefs faced former South Central Conference opponent Reedsburg, in the opening round of the Wisconsin state football playoffs.

The Chiefs entered the playoff game as the SCCs best defensive team, especially against the run. Reedsburg came into the game as a team that rarely throws the ball.

With the Chiefs offense and passing game literally non-existant in 2009, it would be up to the Chiefs defense to come up big, if Wisconsin Dells stood any chance at advancing.

The Chiefs defense failed their first test of the game, when Beaver quarterback Chad Mazur busted through the line of scrimmage and then ran over Alex Yacko on his way to the 38-yard touchdown.

With the Chiefs offense throwing four interceptions and adding a fumble, Mazurs TD stood as the winning score as the Beavers advanced 35-0 over Wisconsin Dells.
