Test Animation 1 With Charcoal

Ok- So this is my first time attempting any type of animation... So be gentle youtubers : )

Basically I used charcoal and eraser to animate this. I used the same piece of paper rather than traditional animation which uses a new piece of paper each time.

I really didn't have a direction in this other than simply testing it out and seeing how it would look. I went into After Effects and centered the page each frame and used camera tracking to remove the jitter... but I actually think the moving page becomes part of the animation and decided to keep it.

Anyhow; I'm definitely optimistic about this type of animation since it doesn't exactly call for the best artistic skills... it's a little more about the concepts so I plan on doing more and most likely trying to storyboard some of my actual films in this style.

that turned out great, i'm glad you used the same sheet of paper. it gave it a grungy look that made it feel like somewhat of a darker dream. gotta love insomnia ;)
