The music ties so much of FF6 together, and at the same time is what pushed it to great heights. Without voice acting so much relies on the music, and everything is punctuated and highlighted by it. These days voice acting tries to drown out what otherwise might be good or great music, or even trying to cover up for a weak soundtrack.

This is how you end a game, especially one that's consumed the last forty or so hours of your life!! When the prelude came on after completing it, I was on the verge of tears.

@NostalgicSince2005 Indeed. I mean, I don't mind if you add extra secrets to the remake to give the players something new to look for... like even a Aerith resurrection wouldn't be too bad if it was optional although then again they'd have to change the course of the story somewhat but honestly choosing how certain things played out was what made the old RPGs so much fun. Nowadays it's cinematic and you don't get a say in anything.

thank you for posting these. i really needed to watch it more than i realised. square enix needs to pull it's head out of it's ass if they ever want to make a story of this caliber again. they need to get back to basics, mabey bankrutcy again would unfortunatly be best as the first time they were about to go under they made the single greatest rpg series ever, final fantasy. they thought it would be thier last, hence the name. get back to basics SE, FFxiii was a crime.
