  • Absolute respect to this guy for having the courage to stand up to these bullies and call them on pretty much all the bullshit they threw at him.

  • @JVF1689 If these "cops" can't figure out how to handle a crowd of peaceful protesters without assaulting and kidnapping a thousand people who've clearly broken no laws, then they should not be in that line of work.

  • if this was in america heads would roll

  • I'd Like to fucking hit this guy with a bat

  • Stupid CUNT!!!

  • @badpanda84 The other Caveat is that this happened in Canada where the laws are different from the United States. However in the United States, I doubt very much that a "search to enter the park" policy would stand up to legal scrutiny.

  • @snarky77005 yes but sometimes a public park can be declare a "private venue"

For instance lets say a concert is held in a park which is normally a public venue ( when there isnt an event going).

In that case for the duration of that concert it is considered a private venue ( ie you need to have tickets and are subject to search.)

  • @badpanda84 A bar or pub is private property. A park is public property. There is no difference between cops denying entry to a public park without consent to a search than denying someone the right to cross the street to get home without a search.

  • The police are in the right here, if he has a weapon, he is a danger to the public. Better safe than sorry.

But he is right, they are not allowed to search him unless they have a GOOD reason. It's the law folks.

  • @aclay81 that is not exactly what I meant -- I'm talking more about big events organised that hold large concerts... and yes police do provide a presence while the are ON duty and in uniform -- ( along with liquor licensing ,, security and first aid ) etc.

"which is probably why the guy in the video is currently suing police."

the guy in the video is trying to sue because he is an idiot just trying to get attention -- he probably wont win though.

  • @badpanda84 You're right, because permit holders reserve the park ahead of time for private use, and the police are hired during their off-duty hours to provide a presence at their private event. I'm pretty sure that's not what is going on here, which is probably why the guy in the video is currently suing police.

  • Also you have to admit the cops where very softhanded when arresting him.

No chokerholder holds or tazers. which was what I was expecting
