  • For Novice & Intermediate division you are doing good. Please do not call this tournament the Isshinryu World Karate Championships since it does not represent all the Isshinryu practitioners. It's only has a small number of people from an organization. Most of the judges are not qualified to judge.

  • well dumbass then u can go to master shimabuku and tell him that

  • Nice Chinto. However, as an Isshinryu karateka (20+ years), I was very disappointed by the attitude portrayed in the ending comments of the video as well as the response to SilverYoung55's criticism. As representatives of Isshinryu Karatedo, we should avoid behavior that reflects poorly on our system. • say what you want but no flow pauses and tempo changes are in the wrong places good for you for trying but if that was a blue belt grading wich is when you would preform chinto i would not give a pass

  • As a former student of Isshinryu as a nidan, and a current student of Wing Chun Kung Fu I have found that in the world of martial arts this is far too much attention focused on who is right. The sadness I feel when the "art" is left out of the conversation, and the acknowledgement of what each individual brings to the art is hardly recognized. Instead we bicker over what tournament was it, what it was called, who ranked, and my response is that it is all inconsequential. Master the art.

  • @icefreezer7 well here are the names of the katas in the order I was taught them by my Sensei..Seisan,Seiuchin,Naihanchin,Sanchin(which depending on the Sensei could be the first kata taught or the last, Sensei Malone liked to teach it 4th) Wansu, Chinto, Kusanku and Sunsu for the Empty hand Katas

  • That'd be Chinto Kata.

  • which kata is this? i have not heard of any other kata except seisan in this style

  • way kata looks depends on teachings of head sensei. He may add some extra moves to kata at his will.
