Hi this is Fridy from Italy, thanx for reviewing the plot, I was getting curious to know more about this classic english beloved Doctor Who...unknown in my country! ;-)) Ciao xxx
PS_nice cat & fantasy classic poster too...I've got a beautiful one too of LOTR,with the little boat of Frodo & co. sailing towards their fate, ending 1st movie...epic! Bye-bye
I've never seen PD's first full episode, where I understand the doctor post regeneration went thru being more one incarnation than another... so he'd swing between previous personalities. That's next on my netflix list... are you going to review the classics as you watch them? I really enjoy your reviews.
Sounds good! I decied to just pick a doctor and try to watch things in order. I'm starting w/ Peter Davison (even thought i have already watch 3 or 4 Tom Baker episodes) and I'm going to start at Logopolis (that's techniquely his first episode. lol) and move on from there. I did skip ahead and watch the visitation and earthshock becuase I could watch them istantly.
Just watched Genesis of the Daleks via netflix... I highly recommend it for one of your first old Who viewings. And for the first doctor, definitely "the aztecs"
Christina would be a fun companion, but I was not dissapointed to see her go.
About the Donna thing, and that Christina called him "Space Man", I thought that it was wonderful. I love when they use random little things to tie episodes together :)
Are you disappointed that the Doctor didn't let Christina travel with him? Or did you see it coming like I did? Oh! Another thing.. When she called him Space Man did you think of Donna? I'm so happy she's coming back!
I watched the show in the 70s, with Tom Baker (the ones broadcast in the US). But I just started watching the New Who a few months ago. I have Netflix, and seasons 1-3 are available for instant viewing online, plus lots of the old shows are available for instant online viewing. I forgot a lot so I'm watching the old ones again. I really liked the first doctor in "The Aztecs." Funny how even tho' each doctor is different, he's still the same, even through so many actors.
I've been trying to find out more about the Doctor but It's a long process. I've been a fan for less than a year, so there is a lot of catching up to do! Thank goodness for the internet! :)
