In this video clip, I demonstrate six functional training exercises for figure skaters. These exercises can be done at home or at the rink and require minimal equipment. I demonstrate 1 set of each exercise. Build up to 3 sets of 15 reps.
Exercises:
1. Axel Take-off
2. Lutz Draw
3. Back Lunge
4. Bridge Hip Extension
5. Wood Chop
6. Reverse Wood Chop

  • Can't wait to try this; looks really great. One question: should I buy the bands with the velcro on them or will other ones do? Thank you, I must subscribe to you!

  • @PecanSandees23 The velcro part is what attaches the cuff on my strength cord, and I actually DON'T recommend this type of cuff, especially if you're pulling a lot of resistance. On occasion, my velcro cuffs didn't hold, so I've gone back to another style of cuff with a hook latch on it to keep it secure. Just make sure the gauge of the tubing is thick enough to challenge you and you should be good =)

  • Aw, thanks =)
