ive got a huge ammount of respect for you guys. my bro's in the 9/12th royal lancers. i wanted to join up back in 2005 but was barred as i have permanent metal work in my leg...gutted. hopefully the r.a.f will take me on so i can see some action. keep up the good work

I know a lot of Reg's are capped at the minute, but if your looking specifically for Armoured Corp, Q.R.L have some places left as well as 2 RTR. I think the RTR are stationed in Germany though. Q.R.L are ideal for me as there stationed about 30 mins drive from mine.

Im joining the Q.R.L after i finish my basic training. Just on Christmas R+R at the minute, passing out on the 12th March. Still got another 10 weeks of fun at ATR Bassingbourn. DEATH OR GLORY.

Fudge me I really hope that was a scorpian and not a spider at the start! I'll be more scared of those than the Taliban when I join (Hopefully)

It was the infamous camel spider. You'll encounter those and scorpions. Don't worry about that pal. Good luck joining up. Hope it all goes well.

A heads up though; They're over-manned at the moment so recruiters may try and talk you in to something else.
The next tour is Afghan. The whole regiment is going out for the first time in a while. The past decade it's just been individual squadrons committing to stuff so you're guaranteed a tour
