The Kong & Shu Project: Hmong Human Rights Awareness Night Promo

Hello everyone,

We would like to invite you to join us on Saturday, March 20th, 2010 at the University of Wisconsin-Madison for Hmong Human Rights Awareness Night: "Be at the Gate". The show will be at the Memorial Union Theatre and will start at 6:00 p.m.

Through music, dance, and visual media, we seek to address the Hmong humanitarian crisis in Thailand and Laos!

5000 Hmong refugees have been deported from Thailand to Laos against international humanitarian law at the end of last year. Of the refugees, 158 have UNHCR political refugee status to be resettled in third countries. There is no transparency and no unfettered access to the resettled Hmong.

Come to be inspired, educate yourself, and inform others about what you can do about the situation!
