If you want to get your creative juices flowing, try donning a gorilla suit and chasing after some beachballs in a vehicle made entirely of paper. Just make sure you design and build that unique cardboard chariot, or bike, or cart yourself from scratch. That's the kind of "warm-up" excercise that students in ME 310: Design Innovation enjoy every year. By the time the year is over students will have worked with industrial partners on designing innovative products and experiences with real-world applications. It's an only-at-Stanford kind of class.
