  • this is amazing. so much energy.. look at 03:10secs.. after the Japanese guitarist did a solo after my taylor. Robert saw that he didnt have the guitar set up on time, got the drummer to break another few bars with a roll... where he just threw in talk to your daughter over and over then called "play that red guitar" !!

I'd have given my right eye to have been there, but thank god its here. And thanks for posting the best video on youtube in my opinion. RP deff enjoyed that gig. Respect

  • I love seeing how much fun he was having during the three "Meli Melo" performances that have been uploaded. RIP

  • DRUNK AS HELL but still running it, unbelievable! PLAY THAT RED GIT TAR!

  • Robert having a good time. That is Rock & Roll !

  • 3:07 to 3:25 are the coolest 18 seconds available online guys. Look at the expressions ..... FUCK

I remember reading a story that he blew his voice out in a studio ... if he could sing this hard i just wonder how hard he could actually push ....

  • Check out the leering face @ 3:33!! LOL...And I LOVE Robert, but he was clearly inebriated! :) Yes, HE WAS DRUNK...anyone who knew him said "he had a cigarette in one hand and a glass of whiskey/scotch in the other" ....check your facts!

  • a real great performer who died too early

  • I doubt he was drunk here, just worked up about the music and (sadly) overweight. "I loved the music, but the excesses of rock music never really appealed to me at all," he said more than once. "I couldn't see the point in getting up in front of a lot of people when you weren't in control of your wits."

  • I could cry all the time..I feel so sorry because he died too young..

  • wish i could control a band this good when sober never mind as drunk as Robert is here.. great stuff, brilliant brilliant artist, sadly missed every day RIP xxx

ps if anyone has the 1999 later with jools holland show, PLEASE upload the "pride" performance, no instruments just all vocal performance. havent seen it in 10 years!! some songs from that show on youtube - Stone Cold, and Twenty Million Things.

    Peace xx
