Please read! :)

I've received a lot of questions since my last pin-curl video, so I've decided to make a "part 2" video on the matter... and hopefully, elaborate on what I *didn't* demonstrate.

Again, I have to say that a lot of the tricks and techniques to doing pin-curls are simple trial and error. Every girl is different, with hair equally as unique. So you really have to just pick a day, when you have plenty of time to experiment, and don't have anyone to impress... try out the pin curls and various brushing techniques, with various products too see what works for YOU :)

For this particular occasion, I did *not* use any product what so ever! I simply started with hair mostly dry (I used a wet comb, and brushed each section of hair just before rolling it up). However, I most often use a little hair putty at the ends of my hair to set and as a finishing touch after styling, hairspray to polish the look off and to give a little extra hold.

Also make sure to watch Part 1, for general setting guidelines, if you haven't already.

Love you guys!

  • How did you learn these techniques? Who taught you? How inspiring!

  • @FourEyedLadyOriginal Awe, thank you so much! I've learned what I know from vintage hair guides, online tutorials and simple experimenting... but I really do have so much more still to learn, so your comment is so encouraging :))

  • This video was awesome! Thank you so much for the tutorial. I do have a question though. Does the curl brush have to be heated? Or can it just be a regular one?

  • @peeptoedpump I don't use a heated one, so I think it's fine :)

  • @strawberrykoivintage excuse me, but would it cause any damage to the hair to sleep in pin curls nightly? (i'm PHOBIC about damage to my hair. don't even know why LOL!) p.s. i loveloveLOVE all your videos!!!!! PLEASE don't ever take them down or stop posting!!! they're ALWAYS a huge help!!!

  • @Babyfromnewjersey Awe, thank you love! I'll get some new vidz up ASAP, I am just having a little technical problems in the mean time :)

I don't believe sleeping in them every night will cause any significant damage... because it's a very gentle process. And I personally have never notice damage from it... But, you'll notice beginning signs of damage before there's any real damage, in which case you would give it a break :)
