HIGH SCHOOL, USA - New York City version (Tommy Facenda, 1959)

In 1959, an interesting song made its way to the Top 40. It was called HIGH SCHOOL, USA. It recorded by Tommy Facenda, a former member of Gene Vincent's Bluecaps. What was interesting was the fact that Facenda mentions every major city in the USA. Then, 28 versions of the song was then re-recorded specific to each of these cities, incorporating the names of every high school in each city. This version is the NYC version, naming every high school in the four boroughs (and Staten Island) that existed in 1959.
