no you dont.... you can get into the skydive like you said (B,A,B,A) but you can force mount onto somethings and you get into it and plus you wait 2:30 and then you press B jump backwards then get back on the wall

on gridlock u go to the truck on the right side of the sniper and u go to the side of it and press B,A,B,A really fast and u hold for 2 mins and 15 sec and then u press B, Down ,A with your lancer

It doest matter what weapon the host hits the skydiver with. I use the pistol to hit the sky diver.
