The British Council Connecting Classrooms Project aims to build sustainable school partnerships, which will support the aims of national education systems to educate young people as global citizens and broaden the international view of young people. The partnerships will be between schools in the UK and 7 countries in East Asia, which include Japan, Korea, Vietnam, Thailand, Indonesia, Malaysia and Taiwan.
Vietnam has taken part in the project since the beginning and has partnered with UK, Korea, Thailand, Malaysia and Taiwan. Through the project, students from Vietnam have had many great opportunities to learn from other countries' culture, people and traditions.
This cultural exchange between Taiwan and Vietnam is part of many activities of the Connecting Classroom project. During the visit, 49 principals, teachers and students from Taiwan visited Hochiminh city to have exchange with teachers and students. They also visited surrounding areas and took part in cultural activities to explore more about the country.
