Madison talks about communism

What Madison says is...

"I am not a communist. He (Terry Tran, Madison Nguyen's husband) is not a communist. I'm not pro-communist. I have no desire to work with the communist government. I have no desire to have any kind of communication with the communist government. And because the thing is, That's the reason why we came to this country because we were forced out of that country. It would be so ridiculous to go back and work with them. Let me tell you something as a councilmember, there is absolutely nothing I can do in terms of international relations or international policies. This notion of communism to me is so absurd because this is the reason why we came to American to have this freedom of speech, to have voting rights. To take somebody and frame them as a communist I think that is really ridiculous and we need to get past that."
