True, but emergency drivers in the UK don't really push their vehicles to that extreme for the reasons of safety - especially in central London!
Take a look at some police commentary drive videos on here if you have the chance - there's a lot more to emergency driving than just driving the car quickly - I know I was surprised when I first saw the videos at how much more there is to it!

@TheDirector17 Well FWD is prone to understeer so cant exactly go around corners quick and what not, but with RWD you can push it alot further (:

This is why police need RWD cars!! enough with this slow stuff, lets get to the incidents asap!

That siren was on one of the prototype Volvo D5s we had on trial. Good sound. Starts with the yelp instead of a wail which is quite unusual.

i think they only use them on the ford focuses i haven't seen those sirens on any other london police cars and they use the same ones here in essex on ford focus
