YW's Women's Health Program

Believing lives are saved through early detection; YW is the only organization in Dallas to offer a FREE comprehensive womens breast health program to underinsured and uninsured low-income women between the ages of 35-64 combining community-based mammogram screenings, diagnostic assistance, case management, community resource referrals, breast self-examination education, and transportation assistance. YWs goal is to empower women to follow through with breast-health care by overcoming barriers created by a lack of insurance and transportation, and limited English proficiency. Through education, access, and diagnosis women will experience earlier detection, expanded treatment options, and lower mortality rates.
