  • hey whats the status of the ilitary up there. i hear hat military vehicles are everywhere. or is someone blowing smoke up peoples asses. we know that parliament has closed, but why would they need military. i been trying to find some information regarding this from other canadians but they seem to be unavailablefor comment. whats the deal on the north american union, i heard bush signed something over the weekend.

  • There is no military on the streets up here! Our parliament is in an unexpected recess and will reconvene on January 26.

  • The coalition is a major step forward. The Conservatives had a chance to work with Parliament and choose instead to try & bring in changes they knew would be controversial. They expected that the opposition, especially the Liberal party would roll over and allow the changes.

They were wrong. The Harper Cons are not a majority, they have to govern with the support of Parliament. They do not have the right to implement anything they wish too.

Harper showed extreme disregard for Parliament.

  • Thank god that coalition is gone.Defuncto baby!Really who woulda wanted to be governed by crooks, commies, and separatists ? Not me.

  • For me ,as much as I dont like the Libs, I dislike Layten and the NDP even more.

The thought of the NDP getting hold of any real power in this Nation would be the scarest thing yet.

  • Looks like Ignatieff will be the Liberal leader. The best one of the choices.

Hes not totally for this Muppet coalition thing with the Commies(NDP)and the Separatists. One Liberal thats behind Ignatieff as leader said last night on CBC that "they just dont trust the NDP" I guess the Liberal party isnt totally void of wisdom and common sense.Another said that this Coalition is starting to look less like a Conservative over throw and more like a Far Left take over of the Liberal Party.

  • Winston Chuchill said it best... Anyone over thirty who not a conservative must be stupid

  • ....I work with guys from Sask that are soooo glad the NDP finally got ousted...( guess all the OLD,single minded farmers died off).

NOW the provence is opening up to busnesses and development and is prospering like never before from its rich oil reserves and tarsands reserves in the north.

  • Thats my point friend.

Once people get older, out of school into the REAL world, and see just how governments actually work and TAX...both business and personal.. they change their tune from "I love socialist commies"..ie ndp... to

"I want a govt thats more conservative with MY MONEY ,taxing and has some FUTURE sustainability in its politics and economics".

    Youll see son...:)...

  • dude

you are just too funny. You are spitting out nothing here that you or anyone else can substantiate.

As far as youth having a say, look around you and count the young people that attend your Conservative party meetings. Do they have to keep quiet? How many are there?

As to BC and the government there in the 90's. They did better than any government in Canada except the NDP govt in Saskatchewan which was the first province in Canada to balance the budget, about two years before Alberta!

  • Canadian Democracy is being CRUSIFIED,while we stand by and watch....and some even cheer!

    Pure IGNORANCE. Purely shameful!!

WELCOME TO THE BANANA REPUBLIC OF THE NORTH, EVERYONE!!

  • .....IF you think taxes are high now in Canada now(I pay around 40 to 45 percent)

JUST WAIT till if Layten got a hold of power in this country. The wheels of this economy would grind to a stop.

THIS COALITION COULDENT COME AT A WORST TIME OF WORLD ECONOMIC INSTABALITY.

THIS is what supporters of this MUPPPET COALITION do not realise.

If it usurps the DEMOCRATIC VOTE, AND TAKES power AFTER JANUARY WE ARE SUNK as a Nation and our economy will be as bad as the States or worst....
