@asherkl101 Jonrev has a video of the factory, and he said they actually blew up an office building just west of the factory.

I'm going to make a strong guess and say that the building was scheduled for demolition already. They did the same thing in Enemy of the State... there was some building Controlled Demolition Inc was bringing down, and the sfx company just went in and put some gasoline barrels in the windows and set them off too.

Yes it was an old factory which they blew up!
