Karajan - Beethoven Symphony No. 6 In F Major 'Pastoral'

I love this symphony. I used to listen to this in my dads car when I was little.

These are good Youtube videos to listen to while I am doing other things, as there isn't a big visual element.

not exactly true; if anything, you are comparing musical styles since Beethoven was more of a Romantic era composer compared to Mozart being Classical era. I'm not sure you can safely say that Mozart was more technically sound or Beethoven more creative- it's purely your opinion

Well, what is your favorite? I really love Beethoven pieces - they just take me away...but Mozart's pieces are great too.

No me cae bien el filo nazi de Karajan, pero le reconozco que sabia tener a la orquesta "en el puño".
Era de esa, muy reducida en numero, categoria de directores que sabian sacar el maximo de estas grandes y prestigiosas orquestas.
Siempre me impactó particularmente el movimiento de "la tormenta"....sublime. Gracias por compartir este video.
