W.Terry Fox has been a prolific songwriter/poet since the early sixties. His first musical incarnation was the 'Giles-Fox Hot Four' who toured with Kenny Ball. He was a founding member, keyboard player and songwriter for the cult sixties RnB band 'The Cops n Robbers', who recorded with Decca. His song 'You'll Never Do It Baby' (co written with Smudger Smith), was recorded by 'The Pretty Things', 'The Lyres', and 'The Headcoatees (Holly Golightly)' and 'Oh My Love' (also written with Smudger) was recorded by 'The Artwoods' who later evolved into 'Deep Purple'. His music CV flows through each decade but he is best remembered for leading the cult pre Levellers fiddle led folk-rock band 'Heymaker' and the Irish music outfit 'Boneshaker'. These days he performs his own compositions with his folk-beat band 'StringFing', which has Adam Fenn on mandolin & low whistle and Emily Tellwright on cello.
