Clark Air Base Philippine Flyer newspaper--May 31, '91--Edition.wmv

The PHILIPPINE FLYER newspaper, May 31st; 1991 edition was in public release just 10-days before the Mt. Pinatubo evacuation of Clark Air Base. Here, a copy of that weekly base paper was scanned and put to music. Hope the scan rate is high enough to allow at least SOME reading of print.

Whether it's the Booster Blabber for selling items, getting FEN-TV/movie listings, or grabbing the weekly crime report, the Philippine Flyer was there. Thanks to the staff of 3rd Tactical Fighter Wing's Office of Public Affairs and base photographers, we received the scoop.

This is quite a journey back in time...not as far back as my memories, but similar enough. I was the Flyer's sports editor and feature writer back in '73-74. I had some unforgettable times there, both at work and at play. I was also attached to 'Operation Egress Recap' that was responsible for bringing the POWs back home. Clark was a great place to be stationed and I hope to make a return visit some day. I have lots of copies of the Flyer from those times.
