  • Hop no one's sea sick :)

  • FTW is with the arhh at 0.34

  • décoller de la sorte avec prise de ris et phoque minimum, c'est impressionnant tout ce vent!

  • They don't really have any sail up fing amazing.

  • hectic

  • on multis going at this speed loosening the sheets will cause a pitch pole they have the sails reefed as the wind is too strong to have them right up

  • I've been only twice in storm. The first I had to take down the whole sail as I was sailing on my own and I couldn't handle the boat. The second time I learned a bit, and had time to put a "reef" (or whatever is called to use only a part of the sheet) and get to the harbour. Anyway I do lightsailing.

  • Sorry, that was a bit rude, yeah. But the fact still stands, an'd I'd rather be rude than have someone who reads this get the wrong idea. Not so much about teacing you...

Haven't been in many storms, have you? If you release an unreefed sail in a real storm, chances are it will be ripped to shreds.

I've also taught for quite some time and have experience on various boats, sizes and numbers of hulls. And on every boat there comes a point, where loosing the sheets isn't an option anymore.

  • Are you insane? Just was a way of saying that that is pretty fast. Just go and troll another one. I have teached for a long time and I will go on. The best way to release the pressure is releasing sail. If you steer to the wind yoy get into the dead zone and usually puts the boat to the waves also. Sailing always amazes me, it's because I like it. If you don't like my comments, just rate them, don't try to teach me.

  • if that amazes you you need to take some more courses instead of teaching. Too much pressure in the sails has to be counteracted with steering and slows a boat down. So, actually reducing sail area might make a boat faster at this windspeed.
