I have the 2011 model which i bought couple weeks ago and it has the same issues as the previous models. Very disappointing, and I ended up doing the fixes myself which was presented in the P22 Bible (online PDF). I was really embarrassed when the front sight popped out while i was shooting. Not worth the money i paid for it. Not cool walther.

My little sister has one

by the way kid if you edit out that part of this video when you dry fire the gun i might give you a thumbs up. you should NEVER dry fire the walther p22 unless you want your gun to break..... try reading the manual sometimes it might help you

@SamBaine91 ya i guess i could see how that makes sense
you didn't need al that to make sure it was safe. The p22 trigger doesn't function once the magazine is out (which yours was) even if a bullet is loaded.

@baalpeteor I know. Some people were making a big deal about safety on other p22 video so I figured why not just tickle their senses. I knew it was unloaded before I even took it out of the gun safe but I did that just to make those people happy

@Gamovarminthunter1 I dislike when people do that 2. And the useless fights in comments also so I understand lol. The p22 is a nice pistol IMHO. Especially once the fixes in the p22 bible are applied (hammer/ears fix). I have yet to do these but can see the wear damage underneath my slide from the ears needing shaved down, and the hammer also rubbing. Once those are done it will feed different types of ammo better. This is where the "walthers are picky about ammo" problem comes from

@baalpeteor Even though it is picky about ammo it still feeds the CCi minimags great. I used Federal for a little and boy they sucked at feeding!!!

@Gamovarminthunter1 yeah i've heard the CCI minimags is the ammo walther uses to test the p22's with. I have yet to buy some (will) but all I have is a brick of aguila standard, hollows, and some 60 grain SSS. the SSS uses a short shell and the whole bullet is over 50% lead. This can get on the feed ramp and make it dirty (the wax/lead rubbing off on the slide). This is because the 60 grains aren't coated with copper.

@baalpeteor Interesting. I was thinking about getting some of those bullets but I didn't. My friend re-loads his own ammo and has had some great results with them. He uses the CCI brass so that might be why he is getting lucky with them.
