just a can, or a cylinder if you want, to show the effects of fluid mechanics around circular or spherical objects (ie. a ball, baseball bat, your head, etc.). tested in my homemade wind tunnel with decent flow visualizations

  • how do you make the smoke??

  • @allesgoedenmetu the smoke is just a chemical i bought off the internet for testing HVAC systems. it's a packed powder that while burning, releases a lot of smoke, i just repacked it into a smaller tube and had it burn pre-tunnel. the other way is to vaporize oil with a heater, and there are a few other you can find on the internet.

  • HI! That's pretty cool, I need to make a project about that, could you tell me how to build it?

I have to show why a f1 is more aerodinamyc than a traditional car with a wind tunnel. Models would be a f1 and a ferrari Scaglieti at 1/24 scale.

I'm pretending to build a wind tunnel as yours, a box made of wood with a metachrylate side, a 20 cm fan (a computer one) but I've no idea about what could i use as the smoke generator, or where to put it I mean if i have to let one side opened or not.

  • This wind tunnel is cool. i made my own one. it's on my channel. its not as good as this.
