  • Is it just me, or is Laurie Smith hot for being a 60-year-old female sheriff?

As far as medical marijuana goes, I don't really have a problem with it. I think we waste too many tax dollars fighting marijuana that could be used to fight serious crime.

  • Obama just increased funding for Bush's drug war machine, which SAYING he was changing the way they would approach the problem.

Obama is SAYING one thing but DOING another.

  • Pills? I'm Bipolar and and alcoholic with a an extreme addictive personality. I had a tooth extracted recently and they were very quick and casual with throwing a script for Percs. my way. They didn't even ask me if I have a history of addiction.

    THAT is promoting drug use.

    I hope all is well.

  • Not to mention the fact that we are only talking about the profit and tax revenue from the sale of one cannabis product. It can be used for many things including clothing, fuel, and a material stronger than steel. The cannabis industry would be a multi-trillion dollar a year industry, and it would be out of the hands of dangerous drug cartels. The revenue from such legalization of cannabis would also be enough to fund free healthcare for all Americans and I am all for that!!!

  • Yeah all that "profit" that is made, and our government doesn't think it will help our economy. What a crock!!! Over 500 economists say it should be legalized and regulated. The tax revenue alone from legalizing cannabis would be around 13billion dollars a year, and we currently spend 7 billion on its prohibition. An estimated 2 billion a year would be needed for drug counseling clinics should it be legalized which gives the government a profit of 11 billion a year.- if it was legal.
