Lightning struck about 60 feet from where I was.
I was outside filming when it struck I felt the intense heat and tingling sensation all over my body. Scariest thing I ever felt.. Even my speech was slurred for about 2 hours.

  • holy mother of fuck dude did you have to go to the hospital after that? i sure hope so

  • @Ecw4Lyfe

Now but I should've gone. My face and jaw was paralyzed down to the neck. And I stuttered for about 3 hours and suffered from a moderate to big stress shock.

I was very scary for me.. I got a recurring nightmares that lasted almost 4 months, but I'm good now.

    Adios.

  • Tell me if I'm getting warm....You're white. Male. Live in the country. Own a pickup. Borrowed the camcorder from Jeb. And some of the effects of the strike have not yet warn off.

  • close but no cigar.. white male. Canadian. Bachelor's degree in Science Geography. I even took some courses in Meteorology (I should've known better). I was not a camcorder, it was my own digital photo camera in video mode.

  • I'm suprised you weren't killed. I almost got hit by lighting on Memorial Day 2011. A huge bolt had hit a power pole across the street from my house. There was no rain and no storm on radar. I remember going on my driveway and then it happened. I passed out when I ran from after it happened. For 4 days my hairs were standing up on end and I was weak in the knees.

  • an explenation of why you shuldnt be outside unprotected when an lightningstorm is abow you :)

    sorry my spelling.

nice vid :D and your are an lucky guy ^^

  • Your camera picks up an emf pulse just before the strike - you can hear the "pop" on the sound track. This might be (but don't quote me on this) the streamer going up to meet the step leader.

  • @elgagnon damn man that really sucks

  • That would turn me into a little school girl so quick

  • whow...well hopefully you wont be standing next to any trees in thunderstorms from now on right?

  • A este le ha pasado lo típico: Está acostumbrado a ver rayos de lejos, y no sabía lo que es un rayo de cerca.

  • I'VE FOUND TURKEYMAN AT LAST!
