that sad. i mean at least if more of em were given proper education. then they can choose a proper liveing, now im not against prostitution. actualley some ppl go prostitution for "better" or "extra" pay. but these ppl have no choice as it seem. i hope their government or some ppl take some kinda action to help them.

The government cannot give one self-respect just as the wealthy cannot transform a woman into a prostitute.
This social worker claims the "rich" transformed the Badi into a group of prostitutes....that is a lie. The Badi were attracted by easy money; their morals in the gutter.
There is a serious lack of self appraisal and honesty in this phenomenon.
Italian men, no longer allowed to touch their crotch in public!!(9:09min) hahaha... That's funny!!

The way I understand this presentation is that the Badi, because of a lack of literacy, especially for females, were unable to compete in other money making markets. Markets survive and proliferate due to the law of supply and demand. The fact that the wealthy demanded their services reinforced the the market of sex work.I would argue that the role of the consumer is not exempt from the problems of this society. Give the women more opportunity to escape the sex trade by implementing literacy.
