You wouldn't think fish could develop this type of behaviour. He was bought from a pet store at 6-7 cm, and I am guessing the behaviour is from spending longer than usual in a non-stimulating environment. He stops pretty much only to eat. The 3 smaller females in the tank are all fine.

  • @antandcharmi He would do the same thing if the tank was covered with a blanket, and when the lights were off. I moved him outside to the pond after a while, where he still did the same thing. He has since passed away.

  • training for the fish olympics?t

  • I have a dwarf gourami that does this all day long every day.

  • Mine used to do this when it was new to the tank. Still does sometimes.
