she has fans because they're from a culture that still considers old style movie stars part of modern acting.

she is not an actor. an actor acts in stories that are realty based, plays people that are very specific from real places which include regional accents.
a pure typecast "girl" role is all she's capable of doing and the execs in place now like it because hard-core directors tell real stories that reveal how life really is and nobody wants to tell stories like that in hollywood.
mostly, such directors demand pros on the set that can do long scenes and deliver good takes.
