My family tried to get my pom to howl once by all howling like wolves (it's supposedly supposed to make them want to join in) and he wouldn't do it. He just got all excited and started running around.

What a wonderful cutie. Since I live in a veeery "rainy" city, I tried to get my pom to join in with "Singing in th rain", but she wasn't very amused by it and instead tried to scare the heck out of my "singing danicing bear" LOL
