he developed vocal nodules aka a build up of tissue on his vocal cords from vocal abuse he also has a hip condition called avascular necrosis meaning his hip joint bone has died and will probably need it replaced

p.s. i developed avascular necrosis as a child and will also have my hip replaced its no big deal now a days ;)

It's such a shame, however I have noticed over the years that his albums have begun to progressively sound more mellow than his earlier work.

His new album Infinity has very few real shining moments. His best vocal performance on it is 비가 되어 흐르는 너 and that sounds like he can hardly sustain higher notes. T___T
