Yeah. Its dangerous to directly ask for reunification, since only about half supports them. If Mainland becomes a democracy, there will be a new era for China, a prosperous, peaceful & powerful China. There will be no unrest in Tibet & other areas. Only if Mainland is a democracy, Taiwan will surely agree to reunify. Btw, I hope ppl like A-bian will be punished for being 'naughty' like to be exiled to Japan, possibly Okinawa. Then he might as well shout 'Free Ryukyu!'

In fact he does support a policy of "final reunification"(終極統一). You are mistaken.

very, very, wrong. He does not endorse reunification, but only a progressively more peaceful relation. No politician in Taiwan could possibly support reunification without facing a public outcry. I know this is a one-sided reported in favor of China's perspective, where Taiwan shouldn't be considered its own country. Nonetheless, get your facts straight about politicians' stand points.
