i can't see any holes in the rocks ...... they need big spaces between the rocks....
-
good idea, but the rocks need to have big spaces for the fish to go in

Dude. You said you remove the rocks and clean the sands. What do you do with fish, while you cleaning the tank? How much water do you remove? Is the fish does not get stress? By the way Set Up is Beautiful.

EDIT:
I meant to say followed the link to the BLACK background, and then came to this one.

I first watched your video called "African Cichlid Aquarium - New Setup", and then followed the link to the blue background, and now to this one. Out of the 3 videos I like this setup the best. Moving the rocks around was a good idea, it gives it a nice open feel. I also like the blue background better than the black for this tank. Nice music choice.

I'll remove the rocks and clean the sand thoroughly once in a few months. I usually do about two water changes a week.

are there any fish other than other african cichlids that mix well with african cichlids?

Some people mix African cichlids from the different rift lakes. Other will mix S. American cichlids with African cichlids. It's basically all trial and error.
